Laura Isom, a junior elementary education major from Hernando, moves through an obstacle course Tuesday [Oct. 15] as part of national White Cane Awareness Day, an annual event recognizing the ways that people with disabilities contribute to society. hosted an informational booth that included the obstacle course, the opportunity to write names in braille and a free vision testing table. .
