The ¼«ËÙÁùºÏ²Ê Local Food Systems Research Group (LFSRG) meeting set for Friday

The ¼«ËÙÁùºÏ²Ê Local Food Systems Research Group (LFSRG) will meet Friday, February 17, at the SSRC in Room 203 from 12-1 p.m. This research interest group is open to all ¼«ËÙÁùºÏ²Ê researchers and practitioners interested in all aspects of Local Food Systems development in Mississippi including: local food systems as economic development; food insecurity; food access; limited resource farmers; production and distribution; food hubs; and systems development.  LFSRG scheduled meetings for the spring semester are February 17th, March 3rd, and April 21st.  Guest speakers and ¼«ËÙÁùºÏ²Ê researchers will share their research. This is an important opportunity to bring together all ¼«ËÙÁùºÏ²Ê scholars who are active in local food systems development in Mississippi, and those who wish to be, to create a comprehensive learning community.  Light lunch will be served.  Please RSVP (only if you haven't already) to Dr. Leslie Hossfeld, lhossfeld@soc.msstate.edu.
